In the fall the college hosted a test of the emergency shelter siren. We are continuing to educate the campus about the emergency procedures and test the systems. Students, faculty, and staff are strongly encouraged to participate in the <str
ong>LOCK DOWN emergency siren test tomorrow. It is important that all students know meaning to each of the sirens and how to respond accordingly.
What exactly is going to happen?
1. The LOCK DOWN siren is a sustained 3-minute sound. This signal indicates that persons should go to a designated LOCK DOWN area on campus. When the siren sounds, everyone should remain in, or move to, the closest LOCK DOWN location and wait for further instructions.
2. LOCK DOWN locations can be found on emergency maps which are posted at the exit of each building. We encourage everyone to consult these maps to confirm the various locations on campus.
3. The ALL CLEAR signal, a 7 second blast of sound will indicate when you can leave the location.
4. Information will be communicated through the e2Campus emergency notification system and via email and by campus phone.
